The team and artists at Marketplace Studios would like to invite you to MADE AT MARKETPLACE, THIS weekend, 10th-11th December, from 11am-5pm.  Marketplace Studios is an exciting initiative providing start-up business support to creative graduates from Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. Finnegans Wake took James Joyce seventeen years to write.  Published in 1939, it was his last and most extraordinary prose work. Despite influencing diverse creative fields, it remains more referred to than actually read. ‘Crafting’ Grosvenor Gallery 15th – 18th November 2016 An installation of image and sound illustrating a student and staff cultural visit to Jaipur to observe and learn from traditional artisans. The Indian crafts of woodblock printing, tie dying and metalwork embroidery practiced in Rajasthan for over four hundred years have endured over time, a heritage of artisanship passed from generation to generation. Ammemorium: A Forgotten Rebel’s Tale

This autumn, the Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery is host to an exhibition by John Hyatt and Sam Windrim, Ammemorium: A Forgotten Rebel’s Tale. The exhibition is of new work about the adventures, tragedies and misadventures of John and Sam’s grandfather, a forgotten Irish revolutionary of 1916. The show features new paintings by John alongside poems by Sam.
