The Leapfrog Team invite Early Career Researchers (ECRs) involved in community engagement to participate in a Summer School from the 11th – 13th of July 2017 at Lancaster University.
Leapfrog is a 3 year research project funded by the AHRC as part of their Connected Communities programme. Led by Imagination Lancaster, in partnership with The Institute of Design Innovation at The Glasgow School of Art, Leapfrog is a close collaboration with public sector and communities partners in Lancashire and the Highlands and Islands to explore how we can design and evaluate more effective, inclusive and creative tools to engage with communities. For more information on Leapfrog please see: http://leapfrog.tools
Sharing methods and insights around effective engagement, this event aims to develop ECRs’ capabilities in carrying out research with communities, and stimulate discussion and debate around how we capture the value and evidence the academic and societal impact of these approaches. Featuring a keynote from Professor Rachel Cooper OBE, Distinguished Professor of Design Management and Policy at Lancaster University, delegates will take part in a series of paper presentations, discussions, and creative workshops to enrich their understandings and applications of community engagement in a wide range of research contexts.
Please find attached the Summer School Application Pack, which includes further details on the theme of the Summer School, eligibility criteria, registration fees, bursaries, and the Application Form. Watch the 2016 Leapfrog Summer School film to find out more.
Closing date for applications: 9am, Friday 24th March to firstname.lastname@example.org
